On March 4-5, 2016, the University of Massachusetts Amherst convened more than two dozen thought leaders, including historians, journalists, filmmakers, activists and science communicators, for the first-ever summit on history communication.
Led by Marla Miller and Jason Steinhauer, the summit considered how the history profession might train and cultivate a generation of historians to communicate historical scholarship to non-expert audiences across the diversity of media available today.
In advance of the summit, a companion website was created that included information on history communication, science communication and examples of innovative projects by historians. Click the image below to view that website.
